Nexo Australia has launched crypto-backed Credit Lines after being appointed as a Credit Representative in Australia. The service lets eligible clients borrow against digital assets without selling them.
Nexo says the product operates under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act and incorporates regulatory requirements and consumer protections. The launch brings Credit Lines, Nexo Booster, Wealth Club, Nexo Exchange and the rebranded Nexo Growth product together on its Australian platform.
Crypto-backed Credit Lines offer flexible borrowing
Eligible clients can use supported digital assets as collateral and receive funds in either Australian dollars or stablecoins. Interest rates range from 0.9% to 21.9% per year, depending on the client’s loyalty tier and Credit Line version. Nexo says funds are typically available within 24 hours. The Credit Lines have no fixed term or origination fees and allow flexible repayments.
The service also includes Collateral Exchange, which lets clients swap between eligible collateral assets without interrupting an existing Credit Line. Nexo says the feature can help clients rebalance collateral as market conditions change. Australian clients also receive a dedicated AUD account number for deposits, which the company says can reduce transfer delays and errors.
Australian regulatory framework supports launch
Nexo Australia is locally incorporated, registered with AUSTRAC as a Virtual Asset Service Provider and is a member of the Australian Financial Complaints Authority. The Credit Lines operate under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act. ASIC identifies that law as the basis of Australia’s national consumer credit regime. AUSTRAC also sets registration requirements for virtual asset service providers operating in Australia.
The company said it assessed the Credit Lines against applicable Australian requirements before launch. Peter Stanhope, General Manager for Australia at Nexo, said, “The Australian market is ready for a better, more integrated model.” He added that Nexo built regulatory requirements and consumer protections into the products from the outset.
Nexo Growth and Booster broaden Australian offering
Nexo Growth has also returned to Australia. The product allows eligible clients to receive up to 10% per year on supported assets, although rates vary by asset and term and returns are not guaranteed. Flexible Growth accrues returns daily and allows withdrawals on request. Fixed-term Growth offers a higher return rate over a set period.
Nexo Booster allows clients to magnify digital asset positions by up to three times and use new positions as collateral. Wealth Club rewards higher platform activity with better Credit Line rates, cashback and lifestyle benefits across four tiers. The programme won Best Wealth Client Loyalty Programme for Digital CX at The Digital Banker’s 2025 Digital CX Awards.
Nexo targets wider digital wealth demand
Nexo said nearly one in three Australians now owns cryptocurrency. The company also cited A$9.8 billion in new personal fixed-term loan commitments in the March quarter of 2026, up 14.5% from a year earlier. Nexo sees an opportunity for services combining liquidity, returns and digital asset management as crypto ownership develops.
The launch builds on Nexo’s existing Australian presence, including its role as the first Official Crypto Partner of the Australian Open. Nexo Group says it manages more than US$7 billion in assets and serves clients in more than 200 jurisdictions. The company has operated since 2018 and has processed more than US$403 billion across the group since inception.
