Dogecoin Labs unites 3 product teams to build DOGE payments and apps

Dogecoin Labs has launched with three DOGE product teams under one organization, bringing MyDoge, DogeOS, and Such App together through a partnership with the Dogecoin Foundation.

Summary
  • House of Doge will exchange selected operations and assets for an equity stake in Labs.
  • The Foundation keeps its stewardship role as Labs becomes its official commercial partner.
  • DogeOS remains on public testnet, with no mainnet date supplied in the launch announcements.
  • Such App’s beta supports merchant payments, while its integration with DogeOS remains planned.

DogeOS announced the formation on Oct. 21, naming MyDoge and DogeOS founder Jordan Jefferson as CEO and describing Labs as an independent organization. The announcement says Labs will own and operate the three products, with technology, intellectual property, and development staff contributed by the Foundation and House of Doge.

House of Doge’s separate announcement sets out the planned exchange. The Nasdaq-listed company said it signed definitive agreements to contribute selected products, engineering and commercial operations and related assets for an equity stake in Labs. Its forward-looking disclosures list closing conditions, transaction completion and asset transfers among matters still subject to risk.

Dogecoin Labs becomes the commercial partner

House of Doge said the Foundation has designated Labs as its official commercial partner, replacing the structure in which House of Doge held an exclusive commercial agreement. Its own relationship with the Foundation will continue through a long-term license.

The company said Tim Stebbing will move from its board to Labs. Unchained identified Stebbing as a director of both the Foundation and the new organization, alongside Jefferson’s role as chief executive.

The Foundation will keep its stewardship, advocacy, community work and support for open-source development, according to the launch announcement. Jefferson’s company will handle products and commercial activity across payments, wallets, trading, gaming and other applications.

House of Doge CEO Marco Margiotta said the arrangement would free resources for alternative investment products and the company’s sports investments. He described the expected benefit to shareholders as:

“Through our strategic equity stake, House of Doge shareholders benefit from what Dogecoin Labs builds,” Margiotta said.

DogeOS remains on public testnet

DogeOS opened its public testnet for developers on Sep. 30, as previously reported by crypto.news, giving developers an Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible environment for Dogecoin applications. The network’s announcement describes a place to develop products ahead of mainnet, with availability dependent on each participating team’s schedule.

The application lineup in that announcement includes Barkswap’s liquidity engine, Superposition Finance’s lending protocol and the Derps perpetual exchange. DogeOS named Split Markets for options, USDoge for a collateralized stablecoin, and Snag for prediction-market aggregation.

DogeOS said Ethereum-compatible developers could use familiar tools, while its planned additions included more developer resources and integrations. Games and consumer projects named in the launch included Doge Escape, PlaysOut and DogeFundMe.

Jefferson told The Block during the September launch that network validation and developer work were the immediate priorities, with a mainnet timeline to follow later development milestones. Unchained reported that neither October announcement supplied a mainnet date.

The September reporting described a security model involving validator signatures, valid proofs, and a trusted execution environment. DogeOS’s separate technical proposal sought native zero-knowledge proof verification in Dogecoin Core; the September account said the proposed change had not been implemented.

The technical proposal identifies the change as OP_CHECKZKP and says it would support multiple cryptographic proof types. DogeOS described a separate virtual machine under development that would settle to Dogecoin, with the proposed upgrade enabling interoperability between the networks.

MyDoge brings users while Such supplies merchant tools

MyDoge reports more than 500,000 users and recently rolled out its V3 wallet update, according to the launch statement. The company says the update connects its consumer app with applications being built on DogeOS.

Such App supplies the merchant side of the plan. The Block reported that its tools include invoicing and in-person QR payments, while Unchained described the product as a beta with DogeOS integration still planned.

House of Doge had outlined the Such payment app in January, describing a self-custodial wallet and tools for independent sellers. Its proposed “Hustles” feature would let service providers, artists and contractors list their work and accept DOGE directly from customers.

The January account said development began in March 2025 with a 20-person Melbourne team, using open-source Foundation technology. Stebbing said the intention was to make accepting Dogecoin easier for people running small or side businesses.

Earlier financing and US fund relationships remain separate

DogeOS announced $6.9 million in Polychain Capital-led funding in May 2025. The funding account listed platform development, developer tools and partnerships as planned uses, alongside applications in gaming, artificial intelligence and decentralized finance.

The financing belongs to DogeOS’s earlier development history. Unchained’s launch reporting supplied no valuation for Labs or percentage ownership for House of Doge’s new holding.

House of Doge said its replacement license preserves its collaboration with 21Shares on the Nasdaq-listed Dogecoin ETF, trading as TDOG, and the 2x Long Dogecoin ETF, trading as TXXD. The company said the rights cover a Dogecoin exchange-traded product listed on Switzerland’s SIX exchange and future tokenized alternative investment products.
