Input Output Group told users to avoid its YouTube channel after it began livestreaming a suspected AI-manipulated Charles Hoskinson video promising to “double your wealth.”

Input Output Group has urged users to avoid its YouTube channel, with the channel on Friday livestreaming a suspected AI-manipulated video of Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson promoting a crypto giveaway.

The livestream purported to be a town hall for Project Catalyst, a decentralized community innovation fund and grant program. It was live for nearly two hours.

The suspected manipulated video of Hoskinson directs viewers to a QR code with a promise to “double your wealth.”

“Please avoid interacting with the IO Group YouTube channel until further notice,” the company said in a warning on its official X account.

It advised users against clicking links, sending funds or sharing personal information in response to content on the channel.

Cointelegraph reached out to Input Output Group for comment.
