7,934 New XRP Wallets in One Day: Network Activity Defies Sunday Slowdown
XRP network growth appears to have picked up pace even as its price hovers near $1.25. Santiment found that 7,934 new wallets were created on November 1st, which happens to be the sixth-highest daily total of 2026.
That’s notable, especially since Sundays are usually quieter for crypto network activity.
Potential Turning Point
The surge follows a busy week for XRP and came just after the Binance hack, which may have pushed more users toward self-custody and fresh wallets. Santiment said that strong network growth suggests usage is improving while price remains under pressure. The immediate pivot is $1.25, and $1.30 is the first level that would confirm stronger momentum.
If daily new-wallet growth stays above roughly 4,000 and XRP reclaims $1.30, the setup looks more constructive. On the other hand, a drop below $1.20 and growth under 3,000 would weaken that signal.
CryptoPotato recently reported that XRP whale outflows on Binance also surged nearly three times the September 2022 reading. These outflows could ease near-term selling pressure.
Contrarian Opportunity Emerges
XRP and other top caps such as Bitcoin and Ethereum have already been witnessing weakening sentiment for nearly two months. The Binance hack further accelerated the downfall. As prices have fallen and fear has spread across the market, bullish commentary has collapsed. XRP now has just 0.61 bullish comments for every bearish one, while Bitcoin stands at around 0.69.
Ethereum is holding up better at around 1.14, but enthusiasm has still fallen sharply from September. These ratios give a clearer picture of when retail traders become unusually confident or fearful, and right now, fear has clearly swept over the crypto community.
Santiment revealed that the darkest sentiment periods have often created the strongest contrarian opportunities once panic has had time to settle. The community is still reeling from crypto’s largest-ever hack, which makes the current situation particularly difficult. Despite this, if BTC and XRP sentiment stays below 1.0 while prices stop making new lows, a mid-term relief rally could eventually take shape.
“Extreme fear alone does not mark the exact bottom, but fear plus price stabilization has often been a much stronger signal.”
